Rare video of Hirokazu Kobayashi Sensei in France

This is a rare video of Hirokazu Kobayashi (1929-1998), 8th dan, taken in the 1980s in Germany. Kobayashi Sensei began aikido training in the early 1950s in Osaka. Aikido Founder Morihei Ueshiba would frequently visit his Osaka Dojo. Kobayashi also spent some time studying in Iwama in the early 1950s. He also had a close relationship with Kenji Tomiki and Tetsuro Nakayama in Osaka.

    The front credit mentions Thonon Les Bains as location, that is on the French side of Lake Geneva. The contact address at the end title is actually in Germany.
